● United States is a country made up of 50 states and a
federal district.
● Most of the country is located in North America; between
the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to
the north and Mexico to the south.
● With 9.83 million square kilometers and more than 308
million people.
● The form of government is a republic.
● The capital of United States is Washington. (photo)

● The country has all types
of weather. In the east of
the meridian, the climate
ranges from humid
continental in the north to
humid subtropical in the
south.
● Most of the world's
tornadoes develop within
the country.

national sport, while
football, basketball
and ice hockey are
the three other major

sports.

The American cuisine is similar to that of
other Western countries, with wheat being

a megadiverse country:
some seventeen thousand
species of vascular plants
live in the contiguous United
States and Alaska, and over
two thousand species of
flowering plants are found
only in Hawaii, few of which
grow on the continent.
