This document provides instructions for customizing the ribbon in Excel 2010, including rearranging, renaming, and moving existing ribbons; moving items between ribbons; and creating a new ribbon. 2. Making Changes
O All changes are made by clicking on the
“file” menu, choose “options”, choose
“customize ribbon”
O This tutorial shows you how to:
O rearrange existing ribbons
O rename existing ribbons
O move items to a different ribbon
O create a new ribbon
3. Re-arrange Existing Ribbons
O After selecting the “customize ribbon”
option, simply click on the ribbon name in
the right column and drag it to its new
location
O When you select “ok” the ribbon moves to
its new location
11. Create New Ribbon
O From the “customize ribbon” screen
choose “New tab”
O Click and drag to location desired
O Re-name as previously discussed
O Click the items you want in your new tab
from the left column and drag them to the
“new group” in the newly-created ribbon!
