Wix Wix was founded in New York – in 2006 – several workers from Microsoft helped to develop it Several versions of Wix have been developed – The current version of Wix is 3.5, it was launched about a year ago. Wix is software which allows users the ability to create Flash – based websites through the use of a user friendly interface using simple drag and drop tools. Wix offers many tools some of which will be useful in creating our website, it offers customising of design elements such as colour, fonts and layout. It also allows Youtube videos, audio and images to be incorporated into the website. Best of all Wix is free to use but, a subscription version is also available which has more advanced features and allows you to make your own personal URL address. In brief Wix combines a user friendly interface, but with modern website elements such as videos and animation.
