1. THEME ADDRESS Dr. Ravi Gupta Convener eWorld Forum 2011 Editor-in-Chief eGov, eHealh & digitalLEARNING magazines
2. ORIGINS With the emergence of the ICT era Communities of Practice spearheading ICT initiatives in GOVERNANCE, HEALTHCARE & EDUCATION started getting formulated. CSDMS & ELETS took the initiative to engage these Communities of Practice through PRINT MEDIA, ONLINE PORTALS & CONFERENCES.
3. eGov Magazine What started as a bi-monthly magazine in January 2005 eGov has become Asia’s longest running print magazine on the subject. The magazine celebrated its 75th issue in June this year. The eWorld Forum commemorates this feat of the eGov magazine.
5. eHealth Magazine Initiated in December 2006 to communicate the ICT innovations in healthcare. 56 issues hence eHealth now caters to the enterprise of Healthcare and has become a leading publication in its domain.
7. digitalLEARNING Magazine Started in January 2006 the magazine has completed its 66 issues in print. It has become an influencing publication championing the cause of access & quality of education through various ICT interventions .
9. THE INFLUENCING INITIATIVES The recently concluded World Education Summit presented by the digitalLEARNING magazine showcased the growing influence of the sustained efforts of elets & csdmsbeing carried out for the last 14 years.
10. THE INFLUENCING INITIATIVES eINDIA has gained the status of India’s largest ICT event and would be entering its 7th edition this year.
11. THE INFLUENCING INITIATIVES eASIA Another flagship ICT event has gained prominence across Asia
12. NEED India has become a major hub for ICT Innovations. There is a felt global need amongst the emerging countries across the globe to learn from the Indian experiences. eWorld Forum 2011 intends to cater to these needs.
13. OBJECTIVE To explore the diverse opportunities to integrate ICT in different spheres of life. To enable the experts to share their knowledge, ideas and best practices as well as provide powerful resources to improve skills and quality in ICT in governance and health arenas.
