This document outlines a mobile assignment for an individual student to cover a story for 20-30 minutes, write a 75-100 word summary with a quote and headline in AP style, and post it along with two images to their WordPress blog within 60 minutes. Students have 60 minutes to complete the writing, headline, and blog post submission including two pictures. An extra 5 points are awarded for tweeting a link to the coverage with a specific hashtag. Students must download the WordPress app to their phone in order to complete the assignment on location. Most events would qualify but students must have access and can conduct their own news gathering.

1. Mobile Assignment
-Done individually, not in teams
Assignment:
-Cover the story for 20-30 minutes, stop and write a 75-100 word story/summary
using AP style, include a quote and a headline. Then post to your blog the headline,
story and two still images (one image from the person you quote) and one from the
event.
-Get 5 bonus points if you tweet a link to your coverage to hashtag #j2150f
-Have 60 minutes to write the story, headline and submit the complete package
including the two pictures to your WordPress blog. We will not include transmission
time in the 60 minutes but you must show that you completed the assignment in the
required time.
Important Info:
-Need to download WordPress App onto phone (can get it for iTouch)
-Most events will qualify for this assignment, but you must have access. You can do
your own news-gathering if you would like.
