OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES
Outcome:

The FCPS system will develop a common
understanding regarding the Framework for Teaching
Rubric and the Teacher Evaluation System.

Objective

Participants will explore the three components of the
visitation model in order to gain an in-depth
understanding of each component, it’s purpose, and
it’s value.
THE VISITATION MODEL
 The pre-visitation conference
 The visitation event

 The post-visitation conference

THE PRE-VISITATION CONFERENCE
As you watch the video, record key components that
create a meaningful collaborative pre-conference.

Example:
 The principal and teacher identify data collection focus
  areas.








Discuss with your table group what you saw and the
benefits of a pre-visitation conference.

There are three critical components to the visitation model for teacher evaluation. _____ 2. The visitation model is the easiest of the three evaluation models. _____ 3. In the visitation model professional growth occurs when the administrator shares his or her findings from the classroom visit.
  • 3. OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES Outcome: The FCPS system will develop a common understanding regarding the Framework for Teaching Rubric and the Teacher Evaluation System. Objective Participants will explore the three components of the visitation model in order to gain an in-depth understanding of each component, it’s purpose, and it’s value.
  • 4. THE VISITATION MODEL  The pre-visitation conference  The visitation event  The post-visitation conference Not a “Gotcha!” It’s all about GROWTH!
  • 5. THE PRE-VISITATION CONFERENCE As you watch the video, record key components that create a meaningful collaborative pre-conference. Example:  The principal and teacher identify data collection focus areas.    Discuss with your table group what you saw and the benefits of a pre-visitation conference.
  • 6. THE VISITATION EVENT Discuss at your table group: From what you just observed, what would you expect to happen during the visitation event?
  • 7.   1. Open the session – all administrators and teachers should participate in this training.  Distribute copies of the Evaluation FAQ November/December Feedback. Share that this information was garnered from the survey results of the November/December 2011 training. The results are being used in the planning of the subsequent training sessions.  1 minute
