2. CD COVER
I may not be the best
artist, but my initial ideas
for my album cover are
here and drafted to my full
ability. I have decided to
use the same design on
the front of my CD cover
and my album cover (as
you will see in a few slides)
to create my house style.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t
draw the font the same as
my advert draft as it kept
going wrong! But they will
also be the same. The
colours I have chosen are
White, Black and Blues,
due to the fact I have seen
in most of the albums for
Evanescence; they use
those colours throughout.
So I thought I’d use the
same colours as the real
artist. The design I created
myself and I shall be using
it in all three aspects of my
project. I just need to think
of a clever way to add it to
my music video.
3. CD INSIDE
I’ve decided that the
inside cover of the CD
Digi pack needs to still
show that it’s the same
house style but at the
same time it needs to be
slightly different,
otherwise it becomes
repetitive and boring. So I
decided from looking at
other packs, to have the
main music instruments
scattered over leaves,
with sectors of the design
in the corner to show the
house style and colours.
I’m not sure if the image
is going to be in
monochrome yet, I’m
thinking of it but it needs
investigating before any
action is taken. On the
CD itself, there will be the
name of the band and
the album in white, on a
black background, due to
the fact I’ve seen other
metal CD’s with this
colour scheme.
4. MAGAZINE ADVERT
My Album Magazine
Advert is going to be quite
similar to the CD cover, as
it will have the same
design that I created in
photoshop to identify the
brand identity. It’s going to
be placed upon a black
background, the same as
the CD front cover. The
Name has a unique font
that I found on a font
website, I felt like I needed
a font to go with my CD
due to the fact that most
bands have their own,
unique font that
represents them. At the
bottom of the page, there
will be a star rating shown,
to make the audience feel
like they’d be getting their
money’s worth if they
bought this album, which
is on sale on the date at
the bottom of the page in
a contrasting white against
black, to make it stick in
the views heads.
