This presentation was delivered to the Residence Life staff at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth on January 21, 2010 and goes over what it takes to have Catalytic Contact with their students and be an excellent RA.
6. Truth #1: Not everyone is going to like you… Get Over It. Truth #2: You won’t always get what you want… DEAL. Truth #3: No one can transform your life like you can… Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you! Truth #4: You’re going to FAIL, a lot. Stop trying to be PERFECT. Truth #5: You are not in complete control… stop acting like you are! Truth #6: Someone else will always have more than you. Truth #7: There may be no tomorrow… so make the most of today.
