In this graphic you can see the “developing” global infrastructure. EURISCO is contributing to a global accession level on line catalogue (temporarily called ALIS) which is being developed at Bioversity, in collaboration with FAO and as part of the project GIGA, which is funded by the TRUST. The Global Information system is foreseen by the International Treaty (Art. 17). The intention is to fill this in with passport as well as C&E data
Elinor, for your understanding: The idea is that EURISCO contribute C&E data to the global system. The mechansim to gather (and then display) these data is being developed as part of ALIS. The EURISCO mechanism could be the same and be built at the same time
