1. OUTLINE PROGRAMME
Opening and Closing Ceremonies parties (29 August & 9 September):
Join other disabled people, our friends, families and allies to watch the
broadcast coverage and celebrate together.
Film festival (30 August – 1 September). With drama, dance, artists’
films and videos, documentaries, feature films and programmes from
Eastside Community Heritage and Oska Bright, as well as a special
programme dedicated to the late David Morris.
Liberty at Together! (2 September). A programme of music, cabaret and
performance from the Mayor of London’s Liberty festival, along with
performances from locally based groups, an information fair and artists’
market.
Equality Twenty-Twelve (3 September). An open-access conference on
the state of disability equality in the UK today.
Making a Lasting Difference (4 & 5 September). An international
symposium on Article 30 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities (relating to disabled people’s access to art, culture and
sport), and how this can be used to further the Convention Rights as a
whole.
Legacy Day (8 September). Focusing on all things Brazilian and East
End.
Throughout the 12 days there will also be a poetry café, an LGBT club run
by Regard and free performances by disabled artists and companies, as
well as a number of participatory activities. UKDPC will be updating you
