consider
u+lizing
it
as
a
tool
for
conversa+ons
while
mentoring
young
pharmacists
entering
the
profession.
It
is
available
as
a
hardcopy
book
like
the

as

as

Pharmacy
school
as
we
all
know
is
rigorous,
but
it
is
also
pre=y
prescrip+ve,
in
that
there
are
core
classes
every
student
must
complete
in
order
to
graduate
from
pharmacy
school.
Where
I
oFen
see
young
graduates
struggle
is
the
part
AFTER
pharmacy
school,
where
there
is
no
prescrip+on.
While
we
all
know
and
realize
as
more
mature
pharmacists
that
there
are
many
career
op+ons
within
our
profession,
younger
pharmacists
may
not
be
aware
of
the
range
of
op+ons.
Nor
may
they
be
aware
of
professional
stewardship,
and
how
to
become
a
leader
within
the
profession.
These
are
the
areas
I
a=empt
to
address
in
this
book.
If
this
book
helps
you
have
the
conversa+ons
about
“what
comes
aFer
pharmacy
school”
with
your
younger
counterparts
entering
the
profession,
this
book
will
have
fulfilled
its
des+ny,
and
I
would
be
grateful
and
honored
if
you
might
consider
it
as
such
an
aid
to
these
mentoring
conversa+ons
I’m
certain
you
will
have
in
the
future.
I
thank
you
in
advance
and
for
con+nuing
to
mentor
the
next
genera+on
of
stewards
of
the
profession
of
pharmacy.
Dickens
wrote
long
ago,
“It
was
the
best
of
+mes,
it
was
the
worst
of
+mes,”
and
it
couldn’t
be
more
true
today
than
at
any
point
in
history.
In
these
tumultuous
+mes,
we
need
to
look
out
for
each
other
as
a
profession,
educate
others
about
the
powerful
and
amazing
services
pharmacists
can
bring
to
the
healthcare
table,
and
keep
this
profession
moving
forward
in
a
posi+ve,
inspiring
way.

First
off,
THANK
YOU
for

the
Butler

11th
Annual

Pharmacists
June
5-‐6,

As
the
director
of
this
event,
I
wanted
to
share
a
li=le
something
I
have
wri=en
recently
with
you,
in
hopes
that
you
in
turn
will
share
it
with
the
next
genera+on
of
up
and
coming
pharmacists
as
well.
Certainly,
there
are
par+cipants
at
the
annual
CE
program
who
have
been
prac+cing
within
the
profession
for
longer
than
I
have
personally
been
alive,
and
the
collec+ve
wisdom
of
our
par+cipants
far
surpasses
any
advice
I
could
give
on
my
own.
However,
I
was
hoping
that
by
sharing
a
copy
of
one
of
my
new
books,
The

that
you
