beautiful capital city
called
Tenochtitlan, which is
now Mexico City.
o The Aztecs built farms
on floating bed, or
chinampas.
o Hernan Cortes & his
Spanish Army defeated
the Aztecs in 1521.

5. Inca
o The Inca lived in the Andes
Mountains of South
America.
o They built an excellent road
system, including bridges, in
the Andes.
o Their civilization flourished
about the same time as the
Aztecs.
