Volkswagen has 2 SUV’s the smaller Tiguan and the larger Touareg.We want to increase awareness about the SUV’s by creating a campaign around them using Social Media tactics, Twitter and Instagram.At the end of the campaign we will give away one Tiguan and one Touareg.By using Google Adwords and Google Keywords we will track our success over the course of the two week campaign.
Both of VW’s SUV’s have top ranked safety features, roomy interior, sporty exterior and premium auto and navigation system. The Tiguan comes with roof rails and optional towing hitch. The bigger SUV, Touareg, includes lots of hip chrome features, all leather interior with wood accents.
#WhyVWSUV’s is what the campaign will be. We will use this hashtag on Twitter and Instagram. People will Tweet out pictures of themselves in their SUV or using their SUV and a short sentence as to why they love it.
We want people to think of VW when they think about buying an SUV. By using Google Ad words we can get people more interested about our campaign by using words such as SUV, top safety pick, free car and Volkswagen campaign. Google Keyword planner can also get statistics and help build our campaign. Our overall goal is to sell more SUV’s. Our campaign will give people the incentive to participate with the chance of receiving a brand new Tiguen or Touareg.
People will Tweet out pictures of themselves in their SUV or using their SUV and a short sentence as to why they love it. People can also post photos or short videos of their SUV on Instagram and tagging VW by using the #WhyVWSUV’s. People who don’t own a VW SUV can also use the hashtag and explain why they would want one. This campaign will run for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, VW will choose two lucky winners who will receive a brand new VW SUV of their choice.
Volkswagen has already used blogs and Facebook for customers to share their stories about their Volkswagen.Its time to try different Social Mediums to bring awareness to not just VW but their SUV’s
The people who participate in our campaign on Twitter and Instagram, will have the chance to win a free VW SUV.We will choose people with the most unique and genuine experiences and feelings towards their Volkswagen. In order to get the word out that Volkswagenis putting on this campaign, we will send out emails to all members of our VW webpage, Tweet with the #WhyVWSUV’s on Twitter and start with photos of the SUV’s on Instagram including the hastag.
