- 4. Rebuilding of maindeck cleat foundations and restoration of towing eye foundation at stern of submarine allowed the submarine to be towed to Lackawanna while the berth site was developed.
- 5. The submarine was ballasted aft to allow the bow to be exposed allowing repairs; this represents the first time such extensive repairs had been made to a sub in the water since World War II.

- 8. To allow the destroyer THE SULLIVANS to be properly berthed without a massive amount of rock removal in her new site the decision was made to remove the sonar dome, the pair of propellers and cut the bottom of the rudder below the baseline of the keel.
- 9. New mooring basin completed after rock blasting and installation of steel sheet pile bulkhead. New TRELLEX fendering is being installed for the submarine and destroyer on the inside berths.
- 10. THE SULLIVANS already towed to her inside berth with installation of mooring bitts being completed for one of the breasting structures to assist in the mooring of the cruiser U.S.S. LITTLE ROCK outboard.
- 11. U.S.S. CROAKER towed from Lackawanna into her new berth site forward of the U.S.S. THE SULLIVANS .
