Eicosanoids (20 carbons) are found in the animal
kingdom and a variety of plants.
The eicosanoids are oxygenation products of
acid arachidonic (AA) polyunsaturated fatty
acid.
Acid arachidonic is released from membrane by
phospholipase A2 (PLA2).
