2. Plaza de la Constitución, or Zocalo , is
the main square of the historic center.
To its north is the Catedral
Metropolitana (Metropolitan
Cathedral) which is also one of the
interesting places. The other
interesting places in Zocalo are :-

which is one of the most visited
archaeological site in Mexico. Its
original name is believed to be Zama
or “Dawn” in English. El Castillo (the
castle) is the largest and most
prominent building in Tulum.Oaxaca, Mexico

and Sovereign State of Oaxaca. It is
located in the south west. Oaxaca is
popular for its culture and indigenous
people, especially the Zapotecs and
Mixtecs. They mostly live in the Central
Valley region which is one of the tourist
areas. It is also well known for pre-
Columbian archaeological site of Monte
Albán, which is located approximately
9 kilometres from Oaxaca City.
