Teachers and administrators need to cultivate and
maintain the student's interest in the material by
showing how this knowledge applies in the real
world.
They must also try to increase their student's
curiosity, which will help them become lifelong
learners.
They should be flexible with how they teach and
give learners the resources to continue learning
outside of school.
It is a teaching strategy that fundamentally breaks the
traditional way of teaching – though not entirely.
The teacher acts as a facilitator for the students in
student-centered instruction therefore,:
Student will be able to acquire new information.
Connects new information with the knowledge they
already have and apply it to solving new problem at
hand.
They need to have “learn how to learn” on their
own.
It is a method of teaching and learning in which
students team together to explore a significant
question or create a meaningful project, therefore,:
Students are expected to work with people from
other cultures, with different values from their own.
Students are encouraged to work together to
discover information, piece it together, and
construct a meaning.
Students learns how to recognize the different
strengths and talents and change roles depending
on the attributes.
The teacher provides guidance as to the skill that is
needed to be acquired. The teacher makes point of
helping the students. It is an area which must be
addressed if meaningful learning has taken place,
therefore,:
Students understands how the skills they are
building can be applied in their lives.
Students will be more motivated to learn something
that they can see value in.
Students learns the skills that are useful in any
situation.

Analyses the process of learning and related theories. It facilitates more learning in
a lesser time.

The objectives are being reviewed and revised with the passage of time. Enhances
the right objectives in the light of the changed circumstances and changed environment.
Training to Teachers
Renders its valuable help in training of teachers.
Development of Curriculum
Develops a suitable curriculum appropriately. Curriculum is the total teaching-
learning environment, which has to be modified and remolded in the light of lightest
thoughts.
Development of Teaching-Learning Materials
Teaching learning materials are also as important as anything in teaching-
learning process.
Teaching-Learning Strategies
Knowledge of every strategy is a must to every teacher. The strategies are
being evolved into more appropriate and more improved that can caught students’
attention
Development of Audio-Visual Aids
Audio-visual are used according to the times. They have to be used in present
type wherein they are used appropriately and responsibly.
Help in Overall Curriculum
Locates the problem from different areas of education. It can revolutionize the
whole process of teaching.
Identification of Needs of the Community
provides equal education opportunities to backward people, disadvantaged
students and deprived sections of the society. Aims the and identify the needs of the
community and tries to improve it in a possible way.
In an overview the roles and functions of educational
technology in 21st century will be enhanced and will
create a well prepared students to succeed in a
competitive world with bigger opportunities.
Schools in the 21st century will become nerve
centers, a place for teachers and students to connect
with those around them and their community.
Teachers in this new environment will become less
instructors and more orchestrators of information,
giving children the ability to turn knowledge into
wisdom.
Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together
and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.
