1. How to upgrade the firmware on the Edimax router?

This FAQ is applied to the following models:
All series of the Edimax Broadband Routers.
Introduction:
Firmware is a software that is embedded in the router. It’s a binary
image file that can be upgraded in the router by the end user using a web
browser (Windows IE, Firefox, mozilla, netscape etc. Edimax will publish
the latest firmware in the web site periodically. It’s suggested not to
conduct firmware upgrade unless there is a severe bug in the current
firmware of the router.
Steps by Steps:
Step 1 : Download the latest firmware from Edimax web site at
www.edimax.com.tw, and store it on the Desktop
of your PC.
Step 2 : Download the latest firmware from Edimax web site at
Step 3 : Click “Firmware Upgrade” .

2. Step 4 : Click “Next” .
Step 5 : Click “Browse” .
• Step 6 : Click the firmware file in the Desktop and click
“Open”.

3. Step 7 : Click “Apply”.
Step 8 : Click “OK”.

4. The operation of firmware upgrade is finished at this stage. Please
wait about 1 minute for the automatic reboot of the router and not to
power off or disconnect the router, otherwise the router may be faulty.
