One of my major functions as Global Affairs Coordinator was the coordination, management, and fundraising for an annual UNICEF event called Day of the African Child. I was hired in March for an event that would take place in June that had zero funding. Using my marketing, public relations, and fundraising KSAs we raised $45,000 for this event, which celebrated and promoted self-esteem to 3,000 elementary, middle school, and high school students in southwest Baltimore City.
