2. Team Task 1 While there are numerous options available, Spiceworks appears to be a very plausible option. This service offers free network management software and network monitoring tools. The community is 750,000 strong.

Team Task 2 While a wireless network could be considered, it offers the following disadvantages: Possibility of weak signal Limited range Unreliability A wireless network has the obvious advantages of no cables, but overall, a wired network is preferred to maintain functionality and dependability in a typical business setting.

4. Team Task 3 The price of such a project varies greatly. Things that need to be considered are: Will in-house technicians install the hardware or will contractors be used? Will in-house IT staff install the software or will outside technicians be contracted? While the actual hardware and software can be a few thousand (servers, routers), installation can greatly affect the price as well.

5. Team Task 4 My answer would be all of the above. While the IT department inherently assumes the blame for security breaches in most occasions, it is up to the management to make crucial decisions as well, entailing things such as what software will be used for protection, what hardware, and other high-level decisions. Users need to be educated and use discretion as far as safe security practices as well.

9. Manage the SWL 2 I explored gantthead.com. The site appears to have been around for quite some time judging from the design and layout. However, I do not say this with negative connotations. It appears to be a reliable site with good information concerning project development. The community for the site appears to be strong, and a strong community is a staple for a long-lasting Web site.
