 A native of South Africa, Dirk Coetzer serves as
managing director of Firminy Capital Sarl,
headquartered in Luxembourg. Dirk Coetzer’s
company engages in securitization, and in connection
manages the Firminy Equity Fund (a registered
securitization fund).
Firminy Capital manages a number of sub-funds,
including the Arabian Gulf Series 1. This is a
registered sub-fund, and its assets are kept separate
from all of the other sub-funds of Firminy Equity Fund.
A member of the royal family of the United Arab
Emirates requested the creation of this fund with the
aim of expediting the development goals of the family,
as well as their associates, through better capital
strategies.

3. Firminy Capital
 Another sub-fund is the Alternative Energy
Series 1. Similar to the above mentioned sub-
fund, it is registered and its assets are also
held separately from all the other sub-funds of
Firminy Equity Fund.
The aim of this sub-fund is to provide capital in
the research and development of
unconventional energy resources. Alternative
Energy Series 1 offers novel investment
ventures in an emerging clean energy market,
while securitizing the risks associated with
these undertakings.
