This is a sad incidence of how corrupt Railway ticket checkers harass people and do not even leave SENIOR CITIZENS. They want their pound of flesh , and if not recevied, they are happy to add to their profile by charging penalty .

1. Corruption and Harrasement By Railway Ticket Checker – Mahavir Prasad.

2. Date : 26th Feb 2011Place : Intercity Express 12416Going From : Delhi to IndoreTime : 11.30pm

3. An old couple is sitting in the the HA1 Coach with a confirmed reservation .Age : 75 years and 70 years PNR No. Of the ticket :231-6386129 . Booked on the net

4. Their ticket was confirmed just 1 hour before train started. They also had another confirmed ticket in 2nd sleeper – vide PNR no. 221-6385269 in case the 2nd AC does not get confirmed.

5. So there were 4 confirmed tickets for 2 people travelling !

6. Ticket Checker from Delhi region – Mahavir Prasad comes to check the ticket. He asks for Identity Card. The old man has brought the photocopy of his election card by mistake.

7. He abuses and harasses them and says that they will be thrown off at Kota station…The couple PLEAD with him and request him that they can prove their identity..

8. Mahavir Prasad – Ticket Checker - then tells his plan. Pay him Rs 1500 or pay the full fare with penalty – Rs 2720.

9. The old couple are aghast. They have never paid bribes. They PLEAD with him and even their son and relatives request him on mobile to be considerate to SENIOR CITIZENS. The identity would be proved.

10. But once a Lion Smells Blood – it is difficult to stop him. He wanted his share of Rs 1500. The couple decided to pay Rs 2720 so that it goes to the government.

11. They could not even go to the 2nd sleeper as it may have been alloted to somebody else during this time..

12. What an Irony – holding 4 confirmed tickets and yet have to pay Rs 2720 penalty.. And that too by SENIOR CITIZENS.

13. Is the AAM ADMI Ms. MamtaBannerjee talks about ?If yes, then her staff will ensure that the AAM AADMI is harassed and crushed properly.

14. My question to Ms. Bannerjee .. What has she done to ensure that her staff does not take benefit of technology LOOPHOLES to LOOT and HARASS PEOPLE

15. What action will be taken against such corrupt officials who are totally inhuman ?

16. Commuters throughout the country face these corrupt Ticket Checkers every day. But Railways cannot do anything about it . Why ?????
