To make their environment cleaner and greener, children in DIL Junior Girls School, Orangi Town, Karachi started a drive to make people aware of the importance of appropriate garbage disposal. By role modeling cleaner environmental practices themselves and cleaning their surroundings, the students proceeded to arrange for garbage disposal units made from recycled materials culminating in a plantation drive in their own school first to gather the necessary materials which was followed by a plantation drive where the students sowed the seeds not just for a greener school but also a cleaner community.
