LEATHER
Ensure that the saddle, either new or used, is of
good quality and in good condition. Cracks in the
used saddle can be due to dry rot or decay.
One should take good care of saddle in order to
improve its life and to avoid cracking. This can be
achieved by using leather cleaner, saddle soap
and conditioner.

STITCHED
The strength of saddle depends upon its
stitching, so it should be stitched properly.
If the stitches are worn out, then it should be
restitched.
