THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS OF TWENTEEN

      • FASHION
“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different”
The words of Coco Chanel, a motto that Twenteen holds very dear to our hearts!

      • ART
“Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing”
The words of Camille Pisarro, some that I’m sure we all would agree with.

      • CULTURE
“No culture can live, if it attempts to be exclusive”
Gandhi said this, man knew his stuff.

      • TRAVEL
“The world is a book and those that don’t travel read only one page”
St Augustine, this we particularly like here at Twenteen, makes us want to hop on a plane right
      now.

      • LITERATURE
“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing”
Benjamin Franklin, or both if you can.

      • FILM
“A filmmaker has almost the same freedom a novelist has when he buys himself some paper”
Stanley Kubrick, magazine writers too….. But we need the paper!!

      • MUSIC
“Without Music, life would be a mistake”
      Friedrick Nietzsche, Right On!!
Clothes supplied by ‘Vintage For Sale’ and ‘A Child of Jago’.
WHO’S GONNA BE IN IT?

Well…

- I don’t know if you’ve read in the paper that Zarif turned down the ever
annoying Simon Cowell to pursue a music career her way…? Well we have both a
hot of the press review of Zarif ’s debut album Box Of Secret and an inside view of
what was going down on her promotional gig!
                                                                                        ZARIF
- You’ll see an exclusive interview with Barbara Panther in Berlin who is being
hailed by critics as the next Bjork.

-  There’ll be an exclusive interview with Coronation Street’s Margi Clarke as she
makes a bid to perform a dance track on the Eurovision Song Contest next year.

-  An exclusive interview with the brilliantly talented Vic Ruggiero, keyboardist and
main singer of The Slackers, 20 years on and still touring with their unique Ska
Reggae sound.

-  A Review and soon to be interview with Fran Healy, on his debut solo away from
the popular Travis.

-  A music reporters account of what the vibe was like whilst watching then
drinking with The King Blues.

-  An exclusive interview with death metal masters The Conflict Within, after they
played the always fun garden festival ReBay.

- All this and we still had time to review, weird but wonderful, guitar-less rockers
Exit_International, up and coming band The Voyeurist, local Colchester-based
band Housework (guilty pleasure, friends with the editors), Bemis, Cruel Folk,
Devine’s Jug Band, Glenn Williams, Jimmy Buffet, Robin James Hurt, Stompin’
Dave, The Cornell Hurd Band, and the contributed effort ‘What’s Kickin’ album.

Abel Ferrara’s 1992 catholic guilt, cult classic, Bad Lieutenant. In which Herzog allows the well-paced narrative to unfurl with no confusion.
we see Nicolas Cage spend the running time blackmailing criminals, Bad Lieutenant is another in a series of recent Nicolas Cage films, as one

self-prescribed painkillers, which he duly obtains by stealing at gunpoint takes the idea of police corruption to the extreme and there is a feeling of
from dealers and sneaking from the police station evidence room. a B-movie to the films mise-en-scene, smoggy lighting and dirty colour
