Editor's Notes
Not just Content, but Valuable Content.
6Ws document on my website – Resources, under “worksheets”
Technical – Informative; instructional; a report of findings and resources. Information intended for practical application.
Journaling – aka “Dear Diary” A free flow of thoughts and emotions. Musings and ponderings. 1st person? 3rd person?
Journalism – inverted pyramid, just the facts, minimize or eliminate biases and opinions. Short sentences. Words that would be understood by the average 4th grader.
Story teller – You set the stage and develop the characters. You have a beginning, middle and ending. You use elements of suspense, foreshadowing, conflict and resolution to achieve your objective, whether it be to inspire, enlighten or evoke emotion.
Free Writing – Mark Levy, author of the Accidental Genius – No rules. Brain dump. Go back and edit later, if necessary.
Do you have the ability to flex your style? Do you need to?
