Experience:  My career as an educator has spanned 20+ years, two school districts, and 6 elementary
schools. I’ve had the privilege of teaching, coaching and mentoring students in kindergarten through 6th
grade. This opportunity has given me the full vision of an elementary student’s career and the challenge of
integrating technology at all grade levels. Throughout these years I’ve strived to create the best learning
environment for ALL students.

Technology Skills: My passion for technology has been a driving force throughout my career. I love the
challenge of learning and integrating new tools. This passion was honored when I received the Friedman
Foundation 1:1 iPad Grant. It has enabled me to continue to learn about new apps and online educational
resources. What a joy it has been to integrate them into our 3rd grade curriculum. I believe technology can be
a powerful learning tool for ALL.

Professional Development:  I have been involved in many professional development opportunities.
Most memorable on my list are EdCamps and Discovery Education Network conferences. During the summer
of 2010, I was chosen to participate in a week long institute at Bentley University. This was hosted by the
Discovery Education Network and was an amazing opportunity to network with teachers around the US. I also
believe in the power of twitter as a source for educators to learn and collaborate together. Finally, I’ve had the
opportunity to share my learning with other educators at CCIRA and 5Sigma conferences along with our
district Tech Share Fair.
