Grassroots lobbying uses members of an association to advocate for issues to members of Congress. It is the most effective form of lobbying as members of Congress value the views of their constituents. Grassroots lobbying works best when coordinated with direct lobbying efforts in Washington D.C. Members can effectively lobby by contacting their representatives via email, fax, phone, and letters to the editor on the same day as any direct lobbying activities to reinforce the message.
