9. Science Assistance Assistance is available for science coursework. Students should contact one of the following resources: Biology The Biology department offers Supplemental Instruction sessions for all core courses (BIOL 1050, 1100, 1200). Students should stop by N108 Howell Science Complex for posted tutoring hours are each semester or by calling the Biology department at 328-6718. Chemistry The Department of Chemistry Learning Center is located in room 343 of the Science and Technology Building. It is a computer lab where students can come and do their homework and a tutor will be available to answer questions. Students can contact the Chemistry Department Office at 328-9700 Pirate Tutoring Center The PTC offers peer tutoring in science courses including Biology 1050, 1060, 1100, 1200 and 2140; Chemistry 0150, 1150, 1160, 1120 and 1130; Physics 1250 and 1260, and Geology 1500 at Joyner Library evening and by appointment. 11. Writing Assistance English 1100 and 1200 The First Year Writing Studio helps students with English 1100 and 1200 course work.
