2. 지식은 생산재인가? 소비재인가?
• 생산재란 다른 생산재나 소비재를 생산
하기 위해서 사용되는 재화
• 지식을 소비하는 것 자체가 즐거움이며
목적이므로 소비재
• 지식은 새로운 지식을 생산하는 원료이
므로 생산재
지식은 새로운 지식을 창조하는데 이용(“피인용”)되어
그 가치가 성장하는 생명체이며 생산재이다.
3. 학술문헌은 검증된 지식?
• 모든 지식이 소중하지만 “검증된 지식”은
특히 중요하다.
• 학술 문헌은 그 생산, 유통, 이용 전 과정
을 통하여 검증된 지식.
• 문헌 지식은 검증을 통하여 출판되지만 출
판 후 지금도 계속 검증이 진행되고 있다.
• 검증이란 우리 다 함께 지식을 공유하고
활용하며 그 이상의 가치를 만들어 가는
과정.
“검증된 지식”의 창조는 인간의 권리이며 의무

– 오픈액세스: 인터넷 상에서 모든 이용자들이 재정적, 법적, 기술적
장애 없이 무료로 논문의 전문(fulltext)을 읽고, 다운로드하고, 복
제, 배포, 인쇄, 검색, 링크할 수 있는 것
– 비용장애(price barriers)와 허가장애(permission barriers)의 제거
• 실천 전략:
– 오픈액세스 학술지: 수록된 논문이 오픈액세스 방식으로 제공되는
학술지
– 셀프아카이빙: 무료로 접근할 수 있는 디지털 아카이브에 연구자가
자신의 논문을 기탁하는 것
