Never give out any of your information such as your
name, address, school name, or telephone number in
a chat room or talking to anyone online without your
parents permission.
3. When you are on the computer:
Don’t talk to people you don’t know, especially if they
are making you uncomfortable or scared
Make sure you tell your parents right away if you read
something that makes you feel uncomfortable
4. When you are on the computer:
Remember that people online might not always say
who they are.
Someone that says they are a twelve year old girl
could really be an older man.
Always stay alert online!
5. Five things I will do to be safe on the
Internet!
1. I will not give out personal information such as my address, telephone number,
parents’ work address/telephone number, or the name and location of my school
without my parents’ permission.
2. I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me
feel uncomfortable.
3. I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is
against the law.
4. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel
uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my
parents right away.
