This document discusses a mobile tagging and mobile marketing project for small alpine resorts in the province of Turin. The project uses barcoding and QR codes to allow visitors to access multimedia information and promotional content about local attractions and initiatives by scanning signs with their smartphones. The goal is to enhance the tourist experience and spread awareness of the rich offerings in the involved locations to potentially increase tourism. The project will tag interest points and places in the province to share emotional and important tourist content via mobile devices.

• Mobile Tagging project starts for the promotion, the communication
and the strategic activities diffusion connected to marketing activities
of petit alpine resorts of the province of Turin
• Technology is based on barcoding solution, the innovative solution that
lets citizens/visitors/tourists live an experience enlarged by emotional and
digital informative contributes and at the same time it covers the territory
with a technological image oriented to its own users needs.
• Tag/QR offer a new possibility to connect physical world to digital one simply
framing a coloured sign with his own Smartphone.

visitors/tourists/citizens can access in real
time to information and multimedia contents
and the territory can use innovative

be visited (47%).

Project is based on two components:
To tag Interest Points inside mass
aggregation places (Shopping Centre, Chain
ecc...) on Turin’s Province territory for
spreading emotional and important tourist-
level contents, cultural inside the location of
the project target resorts
The action purpose is the diffusion of
emotional and promotional contents which
can increase touristic flows on destination.
