The document provides a personal timeline of the author's experiences with educational technology from kindergarten through college. It details the limited technologies available during her early education like IBM computers and overhead projectors in classrooms. By high school, there was a dedicated computer lab with Mac desktops and laptops available in the library. In college, computers were available but older models not running the latest software. The author expresses a vision for the future classroom with enough computers or laptops for each student and digital submission of assignments.

8. A Vivid Technology Learning Experience I recently installed Windows 7 on my laptop and I really like it. I didn’t have any complaints with my Windows Vista but I’m finding Windows 7 to be a lot quicker and more efficient when running multiple programs and windows. Google Chrome is an awesome internet browser. It’s really simple when you have multiple tabs open. Also, you can download an endless amount of extensions that make web browsing much more pleasurable. I recently downloaded a dictionary extension. So when I’m on a page and I’m not sure what a word means, I can just highlight the word, double click it, and a bubble with the definition of that word will form above it. I have a G1 phone with T-mobile, which was the first phone to come out by Google with the Android operating system. I’m really looking forward to the release of Android version of Apple’s iPad called the Vega Android Tablet. It has a 15 inch screen.
9. Technology I Want to Use in My Classroom I want to have a Smartboard in my classroom. I also want to use Vision which will enable me to monitor my students on their computers to keep them on task.
