 Doctoral degrees for researchers in S&T areas; directed to interested in the areas
of S&T, whose current life plan and/or future is research, teaching and/or
technology transfer.
 Open to all areas of knowledge according to the Frascati Manual, prioritizing the
following: 1. Natural Sciences; 2. Engineering and Technology; 3. Medicine and Health; 4.
Agricultural Sciences..
 Masters programs for researchers in Science and Technology; directed to
interested in the areas of S&T, whose current life plan and/or future is research,
teaching and/or technology transfer.
 Open to all areas of knowledge according to the Frascati Manual, prioritizing the
following: 1. Natural Sciences; 2. Engineering and Technology; 3. Medicine and Health; 4.
Agricultural Sciences. These programs should be directed to a doctorate and have a
minimum of three semesters.
 Master for Professionals in Science and Technology; directed to interested in
studies in the areas of science and technology, whose life project is strengthening
innovation capacities of companies, public administration, universities and R & D.
 Programs will be financed in the following categories of the Frascati Manual : 1. Natural
Sciences; 2. Engineering and Technology; 3. Medicine and Health; 4. Agricultural
Sciences.

 Master for Professionals in other relevant areas for the development of the country; Programs
that help strengthen sectors described in the “White Book" from CONACYT as priorities for the
country's development will be prioritized:
 • Production: Agroindustrial Chains, Mining and Metallurgy, Metalmechanic, Forestry and
Biomass, Clean and Renewable Energy, Transport and Logistics, Tourism and Cultural
Industries, Industries of Medium and High Technology and Construction among others.
 • Socials: Health, Education and Training for Work, housing, water, sanitation and basic
infrastructure, and security among others.
 • Transversal technologies: nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology,
cognitive technologies and environmental technologies.
 The current call will not fund Masters programs in law, finance, business administration and
related, except in cases where the applicant is a permanent public servant and is governed by Law
1626 of the Civil Service, and that the programs contributes to 2030 implementation of the
National Development Plan.
 Master for Professionals in Education; Master for Engineering Education; directed to anyone
interested in studies in education, whose future life project contributes to the development
within the public sector and/or private subsidized of the country.

 The Admission Letter must be issued by a competent
authority of the university in which the applicant
must expressly individualized.
 If the applicant has a conditional admission letter
only will be eligible those subject to obtaining
financing.
 Pre-Admission Letter will be accepted with the
conditionality of submit the Final Letter no later than
February 28, 2016.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
 Be Paraguayan or naturalized.
 Masters Programs up to 35 years old;
 Doctoral Programs up to 40 years old
 Start Master or Doctorate Program during the first half of 2016; or doctoral
programs that began from 2014.
 Be accepted in one of the best 300 universities worldwide according to any of
the international reference rankings
 Be accepted in one of the best 100 universities by Subject and/or Field according
to any of the international reference rankings.

 Air tickets and visa fee (USD 2,500 + USD 100);
 Tuition fee;
 Unique assignment of installation (USD 500);
 Monthly stipend by destination (average USD 1500);
 Annual assignment for purchase of books (USD 500)
 Annual health insurance premium(USD 500);
 Unique assignment of return (USD 500).
 Funding (i) Doctorates up to US$ 180 000 for a maximum period of four years;
(ii) Masters Programs up to US$ 90,000 for a maximum period of two years.
 The granting of benefits will be actually made once referred to other funding
sources similar, through other programs and/or scholarships or similar, in
which the benefits will be complementary. a la misma.

13. OBLIGATIONS AND RETRIBUTION OF THE

14. CALL, SPREAD AND DEADLINES

 The guide of basis and conditions of application will be
available from 21 October 2015 in www.becal.gov.py
 The application system to instruments CONACYT (SPI) will
be available from 30 October 2015 in www.becal.gov.py
 The deadline for submitting applications in the application
system to instruments CONACYT (SPI) expires on Friday
December 4, 2015 at 15 pm hrs.
 The list of selected will be published in www.becal.gov.py
before December 31, 2015.
 Those applicants who have submitted a Pre-Admission
letter will have to submit the Final Letter no later than
February 28, 2016.
