It is often the first time that the child spends a significant amount of time away from his or her parents. It also symbolizes an emotional milestone for parents-- that a child is no longer a baby. Pamela Anderson of Watch Me Grow Kids Publishing wrote a book that will help ensure a smooth transition for both parent and child. Featuring wide-eyed happy children and vibrant colors, My New School is not only a fun book to read, it is also a teaching tool for parents and a learning tool for children as they prepare for the first day of preschool. 13. © 2009 Lullalee Productions and Services Author: Merrily Kutner long time member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she gave a workshop on writing in rhyme at the author’s retreat held in Palm Springs.
