Integrated Algebra project This project is created by Ms. Sukher. Project Goals ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
Task The product of this project is a slide show. Each student has to create his/her slideshow about factoring. Each and every one student has to find problems with factoring a binomial, the difference of two perfect squares, a trinomial with a is not 1 and a is 1. The students have to describe what factoring method they use for every problem. In addition, they have to explain why they decide to use a particular method. Then, they have to factor a problem describing every step. As an example of explanation , they night use Cornell note from their notebooks. For each problem with explanation, description of all steps, and factoring , students have to use as least one slide.
Presentation All slideshow must be sent to Blog via Slideshare. Instruction on how to upload slideshows onto Blog Is on Blog page. Also, a hard copy of the presentation must be given to me for an evaluation.
Evaluation Category 3 2 1 Cover Attractive and complete Somewhat attractive and complete Not attractive and incomplete Background Explanation Includes details and is clear Explanation has few details and is somewhat clear Explanation has no details and unclear Math vocabulary/ content Correct math vocabulary and content is always used Correct math vocabulary and content Is generally used Correct math vocabulary is never used Neatness Organization The work is present in a Neat, clear, Organized Fashion that is easy to read The work is present in a relatively neat and organized fashion that is generally easy to read The work lacks organization and may be hard read at times
Conclusion This project will help you learn factoring of different polynomials. Among other things, your ability to do research and select relevant information will be put to test. I hope you will enjoy working on this project.
