Years of operation:
28 years, established in 1983
Main areas of focus:
Enabling rural communities by impacting their
livelihoods, both on-farm and off-farm. Our
interventions include community mobilisation (forming
and nurturing SHGs), natural resource management,
various agro-horticultural themes, rural micro-
enterprises, forest based livelihoods, promoting
producer organisations, linking the producers with the
proper market thereby ensuring the maximum benefit.

4. What worked well?
• Regularizing dissemination and review.
• Quality check of videos.
• Spreading awareness around basic principles of crop
production ( vegetables and SRI).
• Reduced intensity of professional’s engagement towards
extension works.
What can be improved?
• Dissemination skill of community service providers.
• Diversification of content for video production based on
people’s requirement, situation, for example..
• Thematic focus on crops requiring less water – to face drought
spells/ a major option to combat drought spells.
• Medium range community linked weather forecast mechanism
(climate change adaptability).
• Generating awareness around rights and entitlements
(MGNREGA), off farm activities, prevalent welfare concerns, and
remedies etc.
• Engagement with the community during post film-
shows and documentation of their interest, adoption of
the practices.
• Strengthening system for tracking adoption on ground .
• Integration with on going programms or activities.
