The Mission of District 65
Enhancing the performance and extending the
networks of Toastmasters Clubs, thereby offering
greater numbers of people the opportunity to
benefit from the Toastmasters educational
program by:
• Focusing on the critical success factors as specified by
  the district educational goals and membership goals
• Insuring that each club effectively fulfills its
  responsibilities to its members
• Providing effective training and leadership
  development opportunities for club and district
  officers

  STRENGTHS ANALYSIS   (clear / focused / posture and stance / gesture /
                        body movements / facial expressions / eye contact /
                        confident / use of notes )

 Ticket #2:
  RECOMMENDATIONS      (positive / specific / helpful)

 Ticket #3:
  TECHNIQUE            (example / visualization / simile / metaphor /
                        exaggeration / irony / pun / humor / slapstick /
                        surprise twists / logical / emotional / sympathetic /
                        sensitive / motivational)
 Ticket #4:
  SPEECH DEVELOPMENT   (immediately engaging / interesting / easy to
                        follow and understand / well constructed /
                        reinforcing body / climactic)
“Panel Evaluation” Judge’s Guide
 (excellent > very good > good > fair)
• STRENGTHS ANALYSIS: 40 > (28~39) > (17~27) > (0~16)
    An evaluator’s comments on the strengths of the speaker’s
     presentation should be clear and logical.
• RECOMMENDATIONS: 30 > (22~29) > (13~21) > (0~12)
    An evaluator not only points out the weaknesses of a speech, but
     he/she also offers specific recommendations for improvement
• TECHNIQUE: 15 > (11~14) > (6~10) > (0~5)
    An evaluator should be sensitive to the feelings and needs of the
     speaker, yet inspire and encourage the speaker in his/her future
     speaking efforts.
• SPEECH DEVELOPMENT: 40 > (28~39) > (17~27) > (0~16)
    The evaluator should focus on the speaker’ opening.
