Friends "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."- Anais Nin
The endless conversations we have, discussing anything and everything? What do we perceive friendship to be?
The shared tiffins, complaining about homework, likes and dislikes that we share. The people we discuss. Jokes, lending of notebooks at the last minute, the knowing glances that we pass across the classroom and standing up for each other. These are probably a few of the things that come to mind. But, there is more to it than what seems apparent.
Friendship is an everlasting emotional bond. The beauty of it lies in the fact that, what we have today, will stay with us forever. A group of people who understand you, who you can release your inhibitions around, who bring out the best in you, is what we all want and most of us have.
All of us get back in touch with friends from the past. We may meet them again or get posted together again. We instantly make connections again and it may seem like you’ll were never apart. Imagine meeting some of your friends, here in school, say in ten years. You would laugh over all what you did and said together, the good times shared, certain habits and idiosyncrasies of people. It would seem like time had never passed.
Many of us have dogs or other pets. And a lot of us would agree with the saying that ‘dogs are a man’s best friend’. The fun, amusement, companionship and special times that we share with them form some of the closest and best friendships.
Friendship is what makes up life, essentially.Everything that we do, everywhere we go, our friends and interactions with them dictate the person we become. Friendship being an abstract noun cannot be quantified or so it says according to definition. And I agree, as it has such a great magnitude of importance in our life.
I would like to conclude by saying that, take some time out to think about what we take for granted. What would our days be filled with? What would life be like without friendship, be it with classmates, teachers, family, pets or anyone else?   Thank you
Friendship
