Peace and intercultural dialogue encouraged
A cultural discovery platform for youth in the context of
PEACE
Community (over 5000 participants) brought together to work
on peace including Macao and Mainland China
Young people engaged in peace related activities : workshops,
performances, country booths, and experiential learning
activities

Peace related activities at the Hong Kong Science
Park. Theme: Fostering Global Citizens
• To encourage Clubs and District committees to
participate and showcase their peace related
projects, including UNEP Eco Challenge
programme by the Preserve Planet Earth

• Country booth programme & Finale for the Day

23. Country Booth Programme
• Participating schools/teams work with representatives of their
assigned countries (Example Consulates General, Chambers of
Commerce, cultural associations, student ambassadors.)
• With the support of the respective country representatives and
facilitation of teachers/mentors, students work in groups to identify
project learning areas on ‘fostering global citizenship: culture and
peace’
• Set up their country booths and present an aspect of their projects in
an engaging, interactive and entertaining way for their peers and
visitors

24. District Peace Project
• PEACE, an area of focus since the early day of Rotary .
• Be a Rotary Peacemaker and promote the culture of peace to
our young people and the general public to reach out to over
10,000 people in our District
• Support this Rotary Peace Movement: ‘Light up Rotary & let
our light shine in our communities’.
• Leverage this platform together with you Club service
partners, your adopted schools, sponsored Interact and
Rotaract Clubs to make the impact.
• Be part of this peace effort to nurture this annual project to
become an Icon for D3450 and UNESCO HK, Rotary’s alliance.
