1. Learning activities in San Giovanni La Punta, Italy
18th
of May – 22nd
of May 2015
High School of Arts, Craiova, Romania
2. We had just arrived from the Erasmus+ Project
"Young citizens of Europe - our future. The path of
knowing, growing and understanding“ in Sicily.
We had a wonderful time there and the most
excitanting thing was that we learnt how to unravel in
another country, in another family, speaking another
language.
For us, this project was a great oportunity to learn
new things and to make lots of new friends from
different cultures !
A very important thing was that we learnt by action at
every lesson that we had there .
3. Welcome Ceremony
We were greeted with an important
Ceremony where we enjoyed some awesome
performances made by the students of the
hosting school and by a few students from
other countries.
The Ceremony ended with a folk show where
we had the oportunity to understand
traditions of sicilian people and to see some
great traditional dances.
In the same day, all the countries brought
some typical food and we tasted everything.
5. Lessons
Even if we didn’t take
only few lessons of the
italian school, we
learnt interesting
things.
We had an italian
lesson where we learnt
the essentials for a
good conversation.
6. After that, we went to a french class and we
learnt new french words from our daily
activities.
We took a music class where we exersised our
voices by singing famous italian songs.
7. A very interesting lesson
was the chemistry one,
presented by the finnish
team and they tought us
how to get plastic from
milk.
8. We participated at a
cooking class ,too, from
where we learnt some
pasta recipes ,which we
will definitely try at
home!
9. The water experience
It started like a game, as the tourist guide said ,but we
finished it discovering our inner water. We searched
for the water sounds in different musical instruments
and we simulated the movements of the water, from
the little drop to the furious wave. It was an interesting
game, if we can call it like that.
10. The visit of Catania
We stayed in San Giovanni La Punta for our
week in Italy, so we spent a whole day visiting
the wonderful city of Catania. We saw its
symbol statue. We visited a beautiful
cathedral, where we learnt about Saint
Agatha , the patron of Sicily. The most
interesting part was that all the information
was presented by our Italian peers.
11.
12. Bellini Museum
We went to the Bellini
Museum, which we
liked very much
because at school we
study the history of
music and we learnt
new things about this
wonderful composer.
13.
14. The fish market The History
Museum
We visited Catania’s
fish market, where we
saw lots of different
species of fish.
We found out many
interesting things at
this institute,which
presents the history of
Sicily.
15. Taormina beach
The day we went to the beach was the
greatest .We had a fantastic time in
Taormina,we tasted special kinds of ice-
cream and we swam in the Ionic Sea .In the
same day we had the last night party which
was an unforgettable one.
17. The families
The families who hosted us are the best. They
really took care of us. We had a great time with
them and they invited us all in the summer in
Sicily. We thank the families: Schillaci, Rubino and
Carastro for hosting and taking care of us like we
were their kids.
