3. How it came to be…
 LIFE AFTER 6 BAND started in September 2003. Rico Barreda, the
originator, came up with its name of how life really starts with most of
the musicians, from gearing-up themselves for the night performance.
It goes with the folks who love to find temporary relief, comfort and
relaxation after a hassle and bustle in a day’s life. Numeric 6 is
significant in the sense that nighttime considerably starts at six and it’s
the time everyone prepare themselves for the night out . This is how
LIFE AFTER 6 got its name.
 The band played locally in small bars and hotels until it ventured
international and played in bigger venues like Hilton, Movenpick
Hotels, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Sheraton Hotel. Because of its
energetic live performances, the band has several contracts and
comebacks at some of these hotels. Eventually, the band earned
commendations and respect from their audience and hotel
managements as well. Their livewire performances has captured the
hearts of Hip-Hop, Rock, Retro, Popular and classic song lovers. Until
this days, they continue their music as the main band of these hotels.

4. International Venues of Performances
1. Hilton Al Ain (5 star hotel), Al Ain, United Arab Emirates from June of
2005 to October 2005.
2. Movenpick Hotel Bahrain (5 star hotel), Kingdom of Bahrain from
December 2005 to May 2006.
3. Movenpick Dead sea (5 star resort and spa), Jordan from May 2006 to
September 2006 upon recommendation by the General Manager of
Movenpick Bahrain (Mr. Jan Kaizer).
4. Crowne Plaza Hotel-Amman (5 star Hotel), Jordan from October 2006 to
March 2007.
5.Sheraton Hotel and Resort-Doha(5 star Hotel), They made their
comebacks in this hotel since 2007 until 2011.
6.Crowne Plaza Hotel-Sharme El Sheikh, Egypt(5 Star Resort), From
January 2008 to February 2009.
These hotels issued certifications to the band due to quality performances
and attendance.

5. Meril Renales
“Mhel”
 vocals/backings
 Born 30 July, 1990. She was seen
with her incredible singing talent
since childhood and has won
singing contests during her younger
years, A voice that can give you the
styles such as Rihanna, Beyonce
and other R & B artists. She sings
well also in some classic genre with
witty looks. Joined Life After 6 Band
in 2009.
 Venues Performed: Sheraton Hotel-Doha,
Some local bars and hotels in the Philippines.

6. Jing Duro
“Jing “
vocals/backings
 Was able to pursue her academics
through Bicol Heritage Foundation(a
locally funded institution under the
Provincial Government to support
local talented individuals). Has
shared her talents in Japan for 8
years in separate contracts. Has
performed in some hotels in Oman
and Dubai... An experienced
peformer. Her combined talent and
singing plus her looks has given her
respect as a roll in one talent..

7. Cristy Rosero
“CY”
vocals/backings
• Cy was born in September 29, 1986. An
Electronic Technology student, whose first love
is singing, has ventured herself in joining live
bands after her 17th birthday. After a year of
attending school, she got more involved in music
and performed in some local venues. October of
2004, she auditioned to LIFE AFTER 6 and
became a regular member. Her innocent looking
charm has added more appeal to her alto voice.
She has proven herself to be effective with
pop/rock music and R & B’s.

8. Rico B.Barreda
“Rico /Kokoo/corix”
 vocals/backings/keyboards/musical arranger &
programmer/band originator
 Singing is his primary talent, keyboard playing
came next to supplement his singing expression.
He self-studied musical arrangements to give
more way in making his music. His early
performances with bands brought him to Awal
Hotel in Bahrain in 1993 with the LE' PROJECT
Band and was contracted for six consecutive
months. He moved to SAFARI PALACE HOTEL in
Dubai the following year with his group still under
his leadership and got a whole year round
contracts. After a two-in-a-row contracts, he
stayed in the Philippines and worked in the
government for 6 years under the BICOL
HERITAGE FOUNDATION as a talent coordinator.
He co-created the LRV ORCHESTRA, which caters
ballroom music and some popular dance tune.
 In some instances, he is an arranger for
composers to fit their creativity. Jingle-song
writing is one of his delights. He has performed in
too many outlets. He's a vocal coach and trainer
and makes the vocal arrangements to make sure
everything is in the right harmony. He is a stage
performer with an extraordinary taste. He serves
as the balance of the group and a quality maker.
He's even acquired a talent in audio-mixing to
make the sound in perfect blend. An experienced
band specialist. The creator and originator of the
LIFE AFTER 6.
