 Founded in 1927, LBCCD serves the Avalon, Lakewood, Signal Hill, and Long Beach
   communities with a capture area of 129 square miles
 28,447 students and 1500 staff

Bond Measures
 2002 and 2008 Measure E General Obligation Bonds totaling $621M
 Proposition 1A, 47, and 55 Statewide Bonds
 Total construction program: $770M
 2 campuses and remote sites totaling about 144 square acres

Cordoba’s Involvement
 Cordoba began Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM)
   services in January 2003
 Assumed full PM/CM contract in February 2006
 Completed Program Master Plans, Program Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs),
   Infrastructure & Utilities Master Plans, and Master Budgets & Schedules

           Cordoba provides comprehensive program and
           construction management services to Long Beach
           Community College District. We are the agency’s
           Construction Manager (CM) to the District acting in the
           District's interests at every stage of the project.

            Overall planning, coordination, and control of a project
             from inception to completion
            Management and optimization of budget/cash flow,
Services     program/project schedules, quality assurance,
             documentation, and safety
            Development and control of project scope
            Administration of District vendor contracts
            Planning and management of all moves
            Planning and procurement of furniture, furnishings,
             and equipment
            Claims mitigation and resolution
            Close-out

   Required relocation of Long Beach Water Department major reclaimed water lines
    and easements
   Includes storm water retention basins, drought tolerant landscaping, and energy
    efficiency 15% above Division of the State Architect requirements

Background 3 Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) Bond Construction Program District Information  Founded in 1927, LBCCD serves the Avalon, Lakewood, Signal Hill, and Long Beach communities with a capture area of 129 square miles  28,447 students and 1500 staff Bond Measures  2002 and 2008 Measure E General Obligation Bonds totaling $621M  Proposition 1A, 47, and 55 Statewide Bonds  Total construction program: $770M  2 campuses and remote sites totaling about 144 square acres Cordoba’s Involvement  Cordoba began Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) services in January 2003  Assumed full PM/CM contract in February 2006  Completed Program Master Plans, Program Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), Infrastructure & Utilities Master Plans, and Master Budgets & Schedules
  • 4. Cordoba’s Role 4 Cordoba provides comprehensive program and construction management services to Long Beach Community College District. We are the agency’s Construction Manager (CM) to the District acting in the District's interests at every stage of the project.  Overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to completion  Management and optimization of budget/cash flow, Services program/project schedules, quality assurance, documentation, and safety  Development and control of project scope  Administration of District vendor contracts  Planning and management of all moves  Planning and procurement of furniture, furnishings, and equipment  Claims mitigation and resolution  Close-out

Completed Projects New South Quad Complex  110,000SF including 32 smart classrooms and labs, 38 faculty offices, executive offices, multipurpose room, and state of the art Board Room  Includes an expanded library, an automated and computerized processing area for media material, learning aids, and educational program delivery  Required relocation of Long Beach Water Department major reclaimed water lines and easements  Includes storm water retention basins, drought tolerant landscaping, and energy efficiency 15% above Division of the State Architect requirements  Completed in 2009 10
