3. Hello. My name is Elīna.
Our teacher and parents had organized class excursion for 2 days. We went to Latgale –the
eastern part of Latvia. I knew before that this region is rich with lakes and it’s hilly. I had
been in Latgale Region before, because my family like travelling a lot.
First arriving in Latgale we visited a couple of museums –one of them was Livani Crafts’
Museum where we were able to try how our ancestors got flour from grain and how they
made ceramics bowls and mugs from clay

4. After that we visited holy spring nearby to Aglona Basilica. We drank healthy and pure water from
the spring to get strengh for the following part of excursion.

Most of all I loved visiting the Hill of King.
The Hill of the King – a garden of sculptures for the Christ victor, angel, cross and
characters of the twelve tribes, carved in oak – is located on the bank of the Aglona Lake

5. We spent night by the lake sleeping in tents a little bit, and doing a lot of sport activities .
