STI’s can be spread to others, even though no
symptoms are present
Some STI’s can spread into the womb (uterus) and
fallopian tubes to cause pelvic inflammatory disease,
which inturn can cause infertility
When diagnosed and treated early, many STI’s can be
treated effectively, and some can even be cured.

How is it spread?
Chlamydia is spread by vaginal and anal intercourse.
Rarely, it is spread during oral sex or by touching
your eye with your hand. It can also spread from a
woman to her fetus during birth. Chlamydia is not
passed through casual contact.

How is it spread?

How is it spread?
Herpes is spread by touching, kissing, and sexual
contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral sex. It can be
passed from one partner to another and from one
part of the body to another. Brief skin-to-skin contact
is all that's needed to pass the virus. Because herpes
may have no symptoms for years, sometimes it is very
difficult to know who passed it to whom.
