- Completed toward 1536.
- Last of the large Chateaux built on the banks of
Loire during the Renaissance.
- Beautiful landscaping.
Built by Jean le Breton, whom was a minister
- His coat of arms can be found on the le" dormer
window on the gable.
- In 1754 it became the property of Marquis de
Caste%ane, kings ambassador.
- He redesigned the interior, and built the classical
style outbuilding as seen on both sides of the
courtyard.
- Traditional gardens were destroyed in the 19th
century.
