servers, the firewall, and the software

Many of the tasks that Eric is required
to perform are mundane maintenance
tasks… Eric is always happy to
perform them, and he performs them
in a quiet, no complaint atmosphere.
He also optimizes the processes, and
thinks about reducing costs, without
much management direction.”

require multiple follow-up phone calls
and extreme patience. Comments

products, gaining some press for
RAF. Since his handling of orders and
requests from engineering, I have

(interruption?). Eric is a critical cog in the
smooth working of Tech Services and RAF
as a whole…"
"The network engineer is a hard position,
because when it is done well it is almost invisible.
Eric has done so well that we only see him at
lunch. There are two characteristics about Eric
that I think bring major benefit to RAF. First, Eric
uses his own initiative to save RAF money and
fix problems that we, as system users, do not
even see. His willingness to search out the deals,
and improve the infrastructure has all been
without direction from myself. Second, Eric has
done a great job at maintaining the infrastructure
and the keeping RAF with the new technology.
This is the critical job responsibility for Eric, and
he has performed wonderfully.”

value that his networking skills
brought to the Pay.gov project. He
can bring his valuable skills to other
RAF projects, and I think he should
