The document describes a proposed mobile application called "Superhero Training School" that allows children to create their own superhero, choose powers for them, and send them to a virtual training school to strengthen their powers through activities. The app would be available on Apple devices and target boys ages 5-9. It offers various customization options for the superhero and a range of powers they can have. The goal is to create a fun, engaging game for children interested in superheroes that does not currently exist in the app market.

COM 410: Children’s Media Pitch
Title: Superhero Training School
Concept: An application where children can create their own superhero’s, choose their powers
and then send them to training school to strengthen their powers.
Content: This application will be accessible on apple products including iphones and ipads.
Once you open the application the child will be able to pick out female/male, hair style, clothing
options, and name then will be able to choose between a list of powers that their superhero can
have. These powers can include aerial, aquatic, blaster, brick, ghost, healer, marksman, paragon,
rider, shapeshifter, size changer, and teleporter. Once they have completed this they will move on
to where the superhero will be enrolled in training school. Through activities in this school the
child will earn points while strengthen the powers as well. After a certain amount of points the
child will move up a level. The activities will get harder for each level up.
Genre & Format: A fun, fast, action-packed game available on all apple products through a
simple download of this application.
Audience and Distribution: This product will definitely be targeted to boys, although I can see
a few girls that would be interested in playing even though it has to do with superhero’s. It is a
simple game, therefore the age range would have to be 5-9.
Competitive Analysis: After looking into this idea, I didn’t find any applications that are similar
to this.
2. Appeal: To begin, I am targeting this product to boys because of their interest in superheroes. We
see a great amount of boys interested in villains and people with superhuman powers protecting
the public. A superhero has an out of the ordinary power or ability that intrigues humans and
makes them want. The idea of the children being able to dress their superhero in their own choice
of costume gives them a unique image.
Distribution: This new product will reach the target audience by having previews shown in
between popular children’s television shows and on children’s television channels. It can also be
promoted through the apple store as free for a few weeks until it reaches popularity then can be
charged to $0.99.
Marketing/promotion/licensing/merchandising: I will design a paper copy of each category
and how I would like it designed. I will move on to present this to a team who can help me
further get my idea recognized and designed.
