submit something themselves is a great
way to get them involved.
Be sure to:

•  keep track of the content as it comes in
•  nudge others with content from your members
•  repost to show your audience that you care
Contests
Take your user generated content to the
next level and offer a prize or make it
competitive.
Be sure to:

•  explain the rules clearly
•  have a prize that people want
•  have a plan for what happens after the entrance
period is up

When your organization is hosting an
event, there are many options for
integrating social media.
Be sure to:

•  make a Facebook event and invite everyone
•  be clear about times, dates, and other
important information
•  post the day of as a last minute reminder
Live Tweeting
Live tweeting an event or asking
attendees to use a hashtag can continue
the conversation into a virtual space.
Be sure to:

•  make sure the hashtag is short & promoted
•  look for options to display a Twitter feed
•  consider storing the feed after to share in the
future
