Representations
My product is aimed at young
adults who are rebellious and
enjoy life. Immediate
representations of people are
rebellious are those who do
drugs, smoke, vandalize and
thieve. However the
representation I am trying to
create is someone who is
edgy about their appearance,
someone who is wild in life
and lives it to the fullest.

My magazine
Another magazine with a rebellious
audience
I have tried to use a similar approach in my cover by using a
diegetic gaze and the red colour scheme as I think that it is quite
powerful and striking.

Gender
My magazine is aimed to appeal to those aged
between 18-25 of both genders who enjoy the
modern rock genre.
Both genders will enjoy:
a variety of music/ sound
different artists
different style
a variety of music information

Jicnars Scale
On the Jicnars scale my audience would be a variety of all of
them, as it offers an affordable price with information that all
classes would like access to.

Group B (managerial)
Middle class, e.g. Bank Managers
Group C1 (non-manual)

Connotations of the target social
group
Block writing- shows
that it is structured,
strong and
confident.
Face towards the
audience – this
connotes intensity
and power, as it
focusing the model
on the reader.
White
background –
this connotes
that everything
that contrasts
against it is
important.
The model – the
model has a serious
expression and also
her hair is pulled
away from the face
which allows the
reader to see more of
her expression.
